Building Community,
One relationship at a time

Welcome to
Topeka United: A Movement

Celebrating Diversity | Welcoming All
We seek to build inclusive prosperity and connection by
breaking down barriers and uniting across differences.
MORE ABOUT TU

Join us in BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY!

We're now accepting applications for our 2026-2027 cohorts of Common Threads and Teen Threads!
The programs run late August 2026 to May 2027. Learn more and apply below.

Common Threads is community building in action, providing the space and resources to center deep, sustained relationship building across differences. This nine-month program (the successor to Mosaic Partner Pairs) is extended-term engagement designed to strengthen the shared fabric of our community.

A Look at One Participant's Mosaic Experience (Topeka United's early years):

"We share our hearts and perspectives without fear of judgment. Though I felt I was fairly knowledgeable about blatant and subtle racism, its impact on my brothers and sisters of different races, and their perspectives, my discussions with Brandi and my small group, have helped me expand my understanding, broadened my social justice network, and given me information that I can share with others to educate and enlighten them. I also have additional ideas of things I can do to help bring about more positive social change."  -Carol

Read about Brandi and Carol's Mosaic experience! Thank you to Topeka Center for Peace & Justice for highlighting Mosaic.

toward a community where diversity is celebrated, all are welcomed, and
community prosperity is inclusive at all levels.

TAKE THE PLEDGE
